Hi I hope I've put this in the right place but could really do with some advice.
I received a wem to inform me I had won a shower worth £1500 on the 6th Nov and the manufacture would contact me in due course. I have heard nothing from Mira, I've tried calling and emailing the magazine the who ran the competition but no one is taking ,my calls or replying to the emails. I have also done a little investigating and the shower is actually worth nearer £500. What should my next move be.
I really hate to sound so ungrateful as a wins a win but had hoped to be able to sell it to pay for Xmas.
Thanks in advance
Nix

Sorry to hear about your bad comping experience (don't worry about sounding ungrateful; if they say you've won a prize, you should get a prize
). Have a look at VelvetGlove's excellent guide to comping, especially post #6, the bit on 'What happens if my prize doesn't turn up?':

I hear the ISP are particularly good at chasing up prizes and I wonder if it may also be worth mentioning the variation in prize value to them (or to The Advertising Standards Authority)...?
Good luck!
