I also am sick of Denenhams website...it takes them a week to answer an email which is the only way they will deal with you if you have bought on line.
they have taken 2 amounts from my bank account......presumably for something I ordered, but I have received nothing to account for it.
I did receive 3 items from a 6 item order, no 20% discount although they assured me by email that I would get it, full sale price deducted from my account.
The other 3 items? Who knows although I guess the £17.50 they took on 9th January is for some of them. It would be good if they took some lessons on how to run a website but I have learned my lesson.......never again unless they get a bit more professional about it.0 -

What a terrible website! We were thrilled to find some Seiko watches at a great price and ordered them. We had an order number and confirmation email. After waiting over a week I emailed then phoned (0870 number, no alternative that I could find) to enquire about the order status so that I would not miss the delivery.
I was told that they are out of stock! Despite one of the watches still being on the website a few days ago the order has not gone through and basically that is hard luck! When they were going to let us know I have no idea.
Does anyone else have any difficulty with this phrase:
'I can only apologise'?!
The answer to that has to be:
'No you can't, you can do more - like reimburse me for my expensive telephone call and try to locate a similar item at the same price!' (Of course they cannot do that...shades of Little Britain here...'computer says No'...)
I will never order anything from that website again. :mad:0 -
same experience here. i ordered 3 items (in stock on the website), got a confirmation email, heard nothing from them and waited for 3 weeks until i noticed they'd debited money from my card before I contacted them on the 0870 number.
They initially informed me that my order had been processed and had been dispatched. When I said I had not received anything and asked when the order had been dispatched she put me on hold, and then came back and informed me that the items were out of stock and my order had been cancelled!
I am amazed that a national company such as Debenhams not only has a merchandising website that does not update stock in real time, but employs a stock control system so clearly unfit for purpose that it would shame a local corner shop.
I've put in a letter of complaint and wont be using their website again.0 -
A small postscript to my Debenham woes.
I have today finally been refunded the money taken from my account on January 9th, for which I have received nothing. I also have been refunded the 20% discount which should have been applied to the 2 items I received from my order and wasn't.
A shame that it took so long and was such hard work. I will steer clear of Debenhams web site, it would have to be the most super duper bargain to get me back.0 -
 Ditto - they have charged me for items which i have not rec'ed. They emailed to say they will be sent seperately but nothing. Crap website, crap customer service. Not to mention their crap call centre which can NEVER help you only make things worse. I tried to take advantage of their 0 % balance transfer except the silly sods who work their took the details wrong so i have to now void the chq they sent, return it at my expense and (if i wanted) go through the whole process of re-applying for the balanace transfer on their exp telephone rate numbers ! arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh
