Debenhams Blue Cross Sale!

  • I got some great bargains at the Oxford Street store today - all their gift packs have at least 70% off (I got some great gift packs for presents including the AA pub walks guide which comes in a nice set with a beer shaped hand-warmer, a golf set, pedometer for my Mum, digital talking (!) skipping rope, gardening set with trowel and secateurs etc... they were all down to under £3 each from over £15 originally). They also have some really good deals on games and mens clothing - I got some really nice jumpers for the men in my family for £9 each and Simpsons and Mr Men cufflinks were down from £10 to £3. My credit card may take a bit of a bashing this month but that's me just about set up for all the family Birthdays this year!

  • Has anyone got the account cover were they refund you the difference off items that have gone down in price since you purchased them ? please advice
  • I have account cover on my Debenhams card and have used it a couple of times. You basically pay £1.50 per £100 (i.e - say you buy something for £15, account cover would be 0.23p).

How it works - if your purchase has been reduced within 100 days of buying it you can make a claim to recover the difference. If the difference is under £30 contact Customer Services on 0113 280 7080 and they will send you a claim form for completion. If the amount is greater than £30 you need to go into a store and ask them to complete an 'Account Cover Claims for Price Protection' form. Some stores can be a bit vague when you ask them for this, don't let them put you off, you are after all paying for it!
Then follow the same process as above, the form from the store will need to be sent with your completed claim form.

Then sit back and wait for your account to be credited.

Hope the above makes sense - but it is insurance isn't it so they don't like to make it too simple..

I went in to Debenhams today, lots of 70% off stuff in all the departments. I got a 3/4 length sheepskin, sleeveless coat reduced from £40 to £12, I then paid with some of my nectar vouchers so it only cost me £2, great bargain!

I ordered a Debenhams duvet cover for £28.00 + delivery less 20% which came to £26 ish. The money was taken from my bank account. I then got a letter saying they had no stock and my money would be refunded. On calling customer services to check, they said that they could now get the duvet cover from 'another warehouse' but I could no longer have the 20% discount.

I needed the cover for a present so paid the full price but I plan to write a letter of complaint. Can anyone assist in what I should say.
  • I went to debenhams in mansfied & they still have 70% off sale on - final clearance due to start on Monday I think

I got simpsons operation for £4.80 should of been £16. Other games were 70% off too.

I am sick to the back teeth of debenhams mail order - most of the items I ordered are now out of stock - they offer no apology nor do they answer their e mails!

Not as good as Next!

quick query regarding the website. When I click on the sale I get to another page with the various sections on. Women's clothing has 70% off all, but that's not the case when I go to look at anything. I've tried putting things in the shopping basket but it doesn't appear to reduce in price. Any ideas?
