    try resetting internet explorer 7

    go to start button , then Control Panel , then internet options, click on the Advanced Tab and then there is a reset button at the bottom , click on that

    you have an OLD version of AVG version 7 (missed 7.5 as well), this is the latest one

  • I got a Internet Explorer home page and then when I logged back on to IE I got the same Microsoft Security again. But when I closed it I got a messgae box stating IE had to close due to error. I clicked on the box to show details.

    I have copied the details if anyone wants to see them if if makes a difference in helping me

    You have some excellent advice here.

    But as I posted ...post 10

    You Need to clear your host file.

  • I have tried everything that everyone has suggested.

    I'm at a loose end. Looks like gonna have to take it to PC shop for them to try and fix it??
