can anyone recommend a good damp proof paint or how to fix a damp bedroom wall - the wall is enclosed by a fitted wardrobe? my brother said to just paint the wall with gloss paint

It depends what the damp is caused by. Is the room well ventilated and heated? A good circulation of air is needed. If it is external on the other side, you can damp prrof paint from the likes of B & Q which is similar to putting a clear membrane on the wall, you can also get similar stuff for the inside. Has a pipe burst?
Contact your insurance and claim? they may send someone out to assess it, even if it isn't a valid claim the surveyor may be able to advise you what is causing it.My suggestion and/or advice is my own and it is up to you if you follow it, please check the advice given before acting on it.0
