Nat West "provisional" limits

Hi all
After reading a few posts regarding provisional borrowing limits, particularly with regard to overdrafts I followed advice given and logged in via internet banking to apply for a small overdraft on my Advantage Gold.
Previous posts stated that partway through the application a figure would be shown as to how much I may be given.
Nothing was showing so rather than enter a figure I exited the application as I didn't want to waste a search.
Question is?? will a search have been made despite not completing the application?
Any help appreciated

The beat way for you to check would check your credit file. How long have you had your Natwest account? Do you have a servicecard with it?0

Hi
Banked with Nat West for nearly 5 yrs but only recently (5th August) got a full current account. Not got Service card yet, stuck with Solo but hopeful of an upgrade very soon.

You're the same as my brother he upgraded at the end of August. The gerenal waiting time for an overdraft is 3-6 months. Have you telephoned the lending department in Natwest and asked why you can't have one?0

Natwest did indeed used to show you the amount they were willing to give you however this does seem to have gone now, my limit was £1600 for an overdraft he he, but i only took £10000

I have asked Natwesst about this again after a previous thread.
I have been told again that despite pre-determined offers of an overdraft they will still perform a credit search against you to find out about any other external borrowing which their systems are unaware of.0
