Today I ventured into a local branch of MFI which had closing down signs up. Wasn't expecting to find much as the local paper said it had been fisty cuffs there last week with people fighting over items.
So I was delighted to find a quality beech desk with a sing saying including pedestal £40. Unfortunately there was no pedestal. This fantastic sales assistant said she could find me a pedestal as they were from the office. Then noticed feet missing from the desk, again off she went to find the feet.
This fantastic lady had spent 22 years working for MFI and was facing forced retirement as she didn't think she would get another job at her age (62 - though she looked 10 years younger) yet she put herself out. She even offered to help carry it to my car.
