Warning - Miele 5 year warranty

We bought a Miele washing m/c through a recent promotion which added a 5 year warranty - downloaded the claim form and returned it, to complete the guarantee process - the paperwork sent with the m/c was the standard 2 year one, the phone no to get the guarantee going also only offered std guarantee.
However, no problem, as I said, I'd downloaded the paerwork & sent it off. Got paperwork back from Miele today, and its only for two years. I rang their customer services number this evening - the woman on the other end was pleasant and apologetic. She has promised to sort it tomorrow morning, but also said I was the second customer she'd dealt with this evening with this problem.
Perhaps a genuine admin error on their part, but the cynic in me thinks perhaps they're just hoping people won't realise, and wriggle out of that great deal on three free years of warranty, unless you tell them.....

To be honest Miele are probably one of the better companies to deal with - they run that 5 and 10 year offer regularly and someone has just messed up I'd say - they aren't Hoover(!)
I'd be surprised if you ever needed to use the warranty either as average reliability is supposed to b >10 years.0
