Be careful buying from this company. Items displayed on their website are not necessarily the items you will get. I recently ordered a Canon IXUS870IS digital camera shown clearly on their website. I was sent a Canon SD880IS, the US version. Obviously you cannot register a US sourced item on the Canon website for warranty purposes. I have asked to return the item but I have been told I will have to pay a 50% restocking fee. Apparently distance selling rules do not apply to this company as it appear it is a US based company. I've sent several emails but they are ignoring me now. My credit card company is the next port of call.
I was a little naive to believe a .co.uk company is British. One learns.

i ordered the sony t77 camera on saturday morning
then discovered that the company is actually an american company, amongst other things that i was dissatisfied with
i decided to cancel the order as i preferred to order from another company
i sent an email to cancel the order on monday; did not get a reply until last night:
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience; however we are unable to cancel your order seeing that it has already been shipped out. You should be receiving it within 2-3 business days.
Please be advised that if you choose to refuse the product you will be subject to a restocking fee.
Regards,
Zoe
I have refused to collect the goods.
problem is i did tell my bank to stop BSD from taking the money as the money had not left my account; which they did; i have now found out that BSD still requested the money back and it was authourised
i am being told that i would pay a 50% restocking fee
i am not sure what to do now, any suggestions? please help

Hi boset74, sorry to hear that. If you read this thread on bite size deals there is some good advice on what to do next:

The company mentioned above 'Bite S D' is a complete scam. I can't believe that 'B Size D' have sent a letter insisting the negative threads are removed. The negative threads are completely accurate. I have been ripped off by this company (B S Deals) and have met others on a similar website forum that have also been ripped off by them. I urge everyone who has had a bad experience with this company (which will be everyone who has ordered through them) then email investigation@moneysavingexpert.com and give the details. They are trying to get all they can on this scam company.0

Thats very unfortunate as it sounds like there are real problems with this company.
Martin does say to email him with exact details with proof. Perhaps he is willing to investigate further until the legal issue is resolved.
Interestingly, a quick google on them highlights that numerous other web sites continue to post complaints from angry consumers. Please ignore those people who post on this forum who deliberately try to misinform you. Don't be bullied by them, don't be blamed by them. You know who I mean.
You come here for advice, help and support- thats what I and like minded others will try to do.0 -
