Help - please don't understand the spec!!

I've spotted this notebook reduced from £999.99 to £499.99 in woolies. Its for my son who has been saving hard to buy his own and he wants it mainly for playing CD-Rom games and gaming on-line.
I'm not very good on all the techie stuff, so wondered if you could advise whether this is a good spec for his use?? Thanks very much

I think if you shop around , you will get a better specification for your money.
Have just oredered one of these.

I would never ever reccomend a laptop for gaming, the upgrade potential is astronomically expensive!
You can get a half decent gaming machine for that much money. You'll regret the day you ever saw the laptop - tust me.

Couldn't agree more with Zacspeed - Especially considering this is a Celeron.

Avoid and buy a decent desktop.
