Lovely pics Easter, thanks for sharing.
PP I hope they manage to give you the answers you need soon as it must be exhausting living with the worry of hypo's all the time. I wish I knew more and could offer some advice and I hope DS is fighting fit again soon. But there are dreams that cannot be,and there are storms we cannot weather!0 -
Sadly managing diabetes is not easy. Balancing insulin, carbohydrate intake, activity and all the other things is a daily challenge. A bigger morning snack has the same effect as increasing the insulin so you have had good advice. Just make sure the snack is good, long lasting carbohydrate and make sure your lad always carries something sugary for when he notices a hypo coming on. Also make sure the school is well informed about his condition. If you can trust the teacher to do the right thing that will be a load off your mind.
Sorry if I'm teaching my grandmother to suck eggs but I have been there with my boy since he was 2 years old. He's a 24 year old lump now:beer:Any war that lasts for longer than five years should be declared a draw.:beer:0 -
Hi guys, nipping to mums tonight for a few hours to feed the dogs & keep them company so won't be back til quite late.
Only been able to quickly read back but:
tmk - break a match for the 3rd thingMy mum has brought me up with this & it always seems to work!
stressed - *hugs* we're here (although technically I won't be here for a few hours you know what I mean), offload away!
katiekittykat - ignore them as they are just majorly jealous. A Google search showed my name on a website & I went to have a look & they were really slagging me off so I'm just trying to sort that out now as it is just plain rude & jealousy over a flipping computer game win!
RCB - I can't grasp what they've said to you about not paying the rent! My flabber is totally ghasted! I agree with what the others have said about yes go for the ombudsman but you really should ring the insurance company one last time to let them know that if they refuse to reconsider their stance then you will have no other option that to approach the ombudsman & also the newspapers & TV shows in light of the fact that your have a young child & you have documented their catalogue of errors with your case! I'm sure you & hubby can word it but if you want any ideas then give me a yell & I'll put together some bullet point phrases to goto battle with!
Love to you all & as I said BF is telling me we need to leave now so will finish catching up later! *hugs to all*Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out0 -
thanks snidely for that:A know that the consultant is right as he is fantastic with us, he wont reduce his insulin as right now we are struggling to get his hba1c down, it is 10.2, school are ok but not great, bigger snack it is, normally just has a banana, which has done him fine before but going to have to rethink it all.
I wonder though is these hypo's are due to him worrying about his school play on moday, maybe a coincidence though
love the pics easter, aww gorgeous:D0 -
