A bit vague, but how much would you expect to pay for someones hair which was half way down their back who wanted re-styling, cut, wash, blowdry, straightened and colouring?
I've got a pricelist and it's blown my mind as i'm a £6.95 skinhead  and someone wants their hair done for Xmas and has seen the pricelist and is determined to spend upwards of £100.
This may be normal, and if it is, i'm glad i'm a £6.95 skinhead!

lol it really depends on where you are and what type of salon you go to! I go to our local colleges salon and last month paid less than you for a complete restyle. My hair was right down my back, I had nearly half of it off, a fringe and layers put in too (plus wash and blow dry)!
I know people who have paid £50+ for a cut locally (not even at the very top salon in the area)!A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0 -

My hair is slightly shorter than that and it costs me £55 - £80 depending on what colour/colours I have, for a wash, condition, cut, colour and blowdry. This is from a really, really good stylist and colourist, and she's the only one who can do my hair as I like it.Egg Loan - [strike]£4921.84[/strike] £0!! :j Barclaycard - £3866.47 Legal + Trade - [strike]£2700.96[/strike] £0!! :j Triton - [strike]£1730.89[/strike] £0!! :j Next - [STRIKE]£776.15[/STRIKE] £126.88 Littlewoods - [strike]£217.16[/strike] £0!! :j Housemate - [strike]£1300[/strike] £0!! :j Capital One - [STRIKE]£1652.51[/STRIKE] £1,081.58 Vanquis - [strike]£2337.75[/strike] £375.58

Thanks for the replies.
Looking at the pricelist, we may have got it down to £85
£50 colouring, £17 wash and cut, £18 blowdry and straighten.
Seem fair enough? Do hairdressers tend to knock down a price if you go for all 3 maybe? Like a package?
It's a fairly professional place with a professional seeming lady, but not a national name.0 -
My hairdressor charges £45 for a cut and restyle and £65 for highlights...in the sticks, when she had a city based salon it would have been more. I had my hair cut professionally for the first time in ages last week and I have to admit it looks a lot better now. I could get a cut and colour for about £55 locally, but tried that and the result was awful.0

We'll find out tomorrow after consulation how much it will cost, but she wants it done.
It would be fine, but she's not even my girlfriend! I'll do it anyway, I just wanted to make sure she wasn't being ripped off (or I was)0 -
For a cut and blow on saturday it cost me 20 pounds. But a few month ago i had my highlights and cut. It cost 105 pounds. It was just a fiver for my fringe cut !!!! xProud mummy to 3 beautiful children who I love so so much :oxxxx

I once paid £140 for a colour/restyle/blow dry, but that was a famous name salon in a city. Now my local village hairdresser does the same, but I won't get much change out of £100 on sat next ..Debt-free...and staying that way...0

So, with a cut/dry/straighten/colour, if looked after well, how long can we expect this to remain looking good from a 'top stylist'?
I've been told that 'permanent colour' doesn't mean permanent, but until it grows out/fades.0 -

Depends on her hair. I won't ned to go back now till March....12-14 weeks, if I had straight hair that grew quicker, 4-6 weeks0
