I have a Ferguson 23" LCD TV FL23WX1-01, which apparently has a softward problem, the repair man can't help and suggested I contact the manufactuer. Apparently it is manufactured byThomson, I did contact Comet but they were uninterested as the set is no longer under warranty

How old is the TV? May have some comeback with the sale of goods act, in that they should be expected to work for a decent lenght of time.0

If the set is less than 2 years old there is EU legislation that says consumer goods are warranted for 2 years. There is a good explanation here:

Hope this helps0 -
The TV is approx 3 years old, the strange thing is it works through the freeview box, but on terrestrial displays menu's in gobblegook, Do you know how I can get hold of the manufacturer, tried googling - Thomson have a help site that says contact the retailer, I only found this through wikepedi:-)0
