Fire Alarms...

Evening All...

We had a fire alarm trip last week, and to silence the alarm the system was disabled...

Now we are running without a fire alarm system whilst replacement glass is sourced.

Ive raised this with the management company, but they have addressed my main concern which is that the top floor vent window was open (due to the alarm activation), they have sorted that now...

Should I be worried? Is there a legal time-frame a property can run without a fire alarm (Assume there is and its zero), also without this fire alarm I assume our Buildings Insurance currently sits between my good friends null and void.

Any help appreciated.

    Is this a HMO or a private flat?

    Provided the management company are doing everything to organise a speedy repair, I don't see how you can complain.

    Not complaining at all just trying to make sure we are still covered and legal etc. Its a block of flats, 13 in a 3 storey building. well its been a week and still no Fire Alarm, no a major issue I know, as fires are very rare, but just peace of mind really. Thanks
