Says £699 when I search for it??? Also bear in mind it is not full HD, although it is a good price for a 50" model.

This was the only one I could find, and is the same part number (apart from the I in the Op's post being a 1)Be an amateur! Professionals built the Titanic, amateurs built the Ark!!

Other than reseraching for the cheapest price, what else did you research for?
Yes it is cheap, but Samsungs are notoriously bad at motion blurring and more often than not, image retention.
When buying large screen TV's, I would advise as getting the cheapest unless your only aim is a big picture and not bothered about the picture quality.0

Had a Samsung 50" Plasma for a few years now , still blown away by the picture quality , especially Sky Hd
Regularly left for hours on sky channels with stupid static logos and have never had any retention0

That's great. I know a few peeps that have had problems with theirs.
Have you compared the quality of the picture to screens nowadays?0

We've had a Samsung 40" for around 18 months now, and the picture quality is excellent. Have decided to look for a smaller Samsung as the quality of its 'big brother' is so good.0

I've got 2 42" Samsung TVs, I've had one for 3 and a half years and the other one 4/5 months and they're both brilliant. Haven't had any problems with either of them. I choose Samsung over any other brand for all my electronics, as I've always bought Samsung, and never had any problems with anything. And I don't even work for them 0 0
