High quality digital photo frame with battery

I'm after a digital photo frame for a gift, but one thing it must have is a battery (in built one that charges off the mains would be ideal). I'm also prepared to spend up to £100 for a 7" model with good picture quality.

Sony frames always seem to get good reviews for quality, but none seem to have the battery option. What other highly reviewed frames have this feature?

  • Phillips ones usually have a battery, the Linx 8" one I have has a battery + better resolution than your average 7" er
Only slight downside to Linx one is the requiment to press some buttons to start slide show after power on - ideally it would auto start

Hmm just been on the Philips website and they have only 3 photo frames in the range, and none have battery.

The Linx one would be an option were it not for the problem you mentioned. A clock function or at least power on to slideshow (so you can put it on a timer plug) is also a must for me.

Well they certainly used to, bought a 7" one some time back - definatly works without being plugged in - so guessing there is a battery in there somewhere

Thats something you never seem to see quoted in the specs - so will have to go on recommendations for that bit

    Theres this ONE -
"This means that every time you switch it on, you get the same photos in the same sequence - so tempting you not to switch it off"

Does that mean it autostarts ? I don;t know
