G.O.L.D should still be available as a channel, timeshared alongside two others.
They have not duped anyone into buying their box, they clearly state they provide a selection of programming from some of the UK's top channels, and it is push-on-demand. Like Sky Anytime.
Go ahead and buy Sky, but you will be paying a minimum charge of £10.00 per month just for the Sky+ features, and that's if they will allow you to have a Sky+ box for free (you never know if they will or not).
TopUp TV is no replacement for Sky, but then, it isnt intended to be. It is aimed and priced towards people who want a bit more choice, and want a PVR all rolled into one, without the cost or contract involved with Sky.
Did you happen to get the TopUp TV box for free by any chance, as they were giving them away free in October...
If so, you really can't complain lol.
I have Sky+, but will be moving across to TopUp TV if and when they stop my £3.00 per month deal; I have a box with my name on it, and would prefer to use that for free, than pay Sky £17.00 per month for channels I don't watch, or £10.00 per month for features I won't use.
Sky may be better service, but when it comes to ditching their channels, they stop the Sky+ features working; TopUp TV don't.0 -
I didnt get the box free I paid £99 for it and got 3 months free but the prog they downloaded were not what we wanted to watch, Yes we got the freeview channels but reading all the lit on the advert we really thought we would be able to get the extra channels as standard, after 3 months I cancelled my DD and received letters saying they cant get payment, I went to sky free Sky + broadband and sky talk I find this alot better for my needs and I am very happy paying this I just wish I waited and saved myself £990
