Try Nochex - a British institution that operates in a similar way to PayPal, BUT they do not have chargebacks against the seller AND it's less expensive at 2.6% +20p - I think PayPal charge 3.4% ?? AND (do you need any more ANDs?) they transfer cash back to you in 3 - 4 working days, unlike PayPal's 7-9 days
enough, enough, enough......
I LOVE BANK TRANSFERS!!!0 -
I've given out IBAN & BIC details many times to overseas buyers with no problems.
Bank charge transfer charges:
These vary vastly from FREE to up to £14 for say a £200 sale.
Trouble is you don't know what the charges are going to be until it shows on your statement !!
The dodge here is to get the Buyer/sender of monies to pay ALL the charges his end! So if your sale item is £200, they will have to pay £200 PLUS both sides of the Bank charges.
It works sometimes but not always.
Been with ABBEY now Santander for years
(Free Banking no need to join Banks who charge for current Accounts)
Banking with a Building Society saves £500- £1000 a year which is a damn good Holiday IMO.;)0 -
