Problems printing photos with Epson R200

Hi I am having problems printing photos on photo paper with my R200. All photos seem to come out really dark when printed though look fine on the screen.
Anyone got any idea why? Epsons CS seems to be useless.
Printing onto discs seems to be OK - just not photos that I would like to keep physically?
