We went to Luxembourg earlier this year. Diesel was around 1.13. 10 mins drive down the road, immediately over the border into Germany, it was 1.60.
We filled up in Belgium on the way there, so made sure we did so on the way home again - much, much cheaper.0 -

Petrol is cheaper in the UK. Currently, petrol in the UK per litre is the equivalent of 1.06 Euros with the current devaluation of the £0 -
That AA site is always 2 to 6 weeks out of date - this is more recent

Diesel is 88 or 86 cents in Luxembourg and the cheapest places in Belgium at the moment

The AA accepts that the European fuel price reports lag behind actual prices due to our source. The fuel price report provides a mid-monthly snapshot. It is a guide to where prices may be going and where they have been.
It is compiled in Switzerland twice a month and circulated among the European motoring clubs. Inevitably, the researchers will start pulling together the prices before the publication date which will make them dated even before their circulated to the clubs. Put next to fresher UK prices they will be out of synch. The alternative is provided by the EU, but last updated in August!
There will be other European websites, some government-run, that provide more recent price information. You will note that even they caveat their prices with “sans garantie” – without guarantee.“Official Company Representative

Unleaded was 1.11 Euro's in Spain a couple of weeks ago, so that makes it more expensive than the UK now, the first time that I can recall this ever happening.
All down to the lousy exchange rate of course.:rolleyes:0 -
I went to Belgium, but as we were 10 miles from the border, nipped into Luxembourg to fill up. Was noticeably cheaper than even Belgium.0
