Hi everyone
Hopefully someone can explain this for me, I have a Barclaycard and made my last payment on 2nd December. I check my accounts online and I have noticed that Barclaycard are now asking for another minimum payment by 30th December? Why would I need to make two payments in one month?
I thought it was because of Christmas bank holidays or something, but none of my other cc's are asking this.
Any help appreciated!

When was the payment due date on your November statement?0

2nd December, paid on time by direct debit..

What was listed in your bill was the interest up to the day, the bill was compiled (let’s say, November 12th). Your payment was received on December 2nd.
Presuming the bill prior was not paid in full, there is still interest to be paid for the monies outstanding between 12th of November and 2nd of December.
Had the payment been received a week earlier, the interest charged would have been less.0 -
That still doesn't explain why they need two payments in one month...I pay the minumum by DD and top it up now and then with debit card.. but every other provider is monthly..?

Barclaycard has been bringing forward payment dates for people who settle their accounts in full each month, there are other posts on here on the subject. Could this be what has happened on this occasion?0

Don't think so, as above, I have a balance on it and pay the minimum by dd to make sure I never miss a payment, then top up with debit card now and then when I can. Maybe a call to them would be best!

OK, some light on this -
all my other statements have been generated on the 7th of the month, with payment due 2nd (or after). Decembers statement was produced on the 5th, so therefore payment is due 25 days later, on the 30th. Should my December one not be the same as all the others? (the 7th December was a sun, so surely this should be moved to the Monday, 8th?)

Is it because it is a 28 day payment cycle, and so it creeps forward each month?0

They have actually put mine back this month from the 30th to the 8th, I pay in full each month, don't know what they are up to.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is.
