in Techie Stuff
A few times when I have been on bbc website I get this message..

The server www.bbc.co.uk at Glow requires a username and password.
Warning: This server is requesting that your username and password be sent in an insecure manner (basic authentication without a secure connection).

does anyone know what it is, just a bit puzzled.:confused:

    I just clicked on your link and got the same request :confused:

    I just clicked on cancel and it went to the site okay

    also just typed the address into my browser and it opened fine without the request for a username and password

    probably just a glitch on their site I guess

    I am getting the same message. Does seem like a glitch on their site like therocketman said. It dosn't happen every time though.

    It's been suffering issue's on and off all night; obviously, the internet team arnt being allowed enough of the TV License, and it will have to increase next yet...

    (my son was revising and the box kept appearing)

    Been getting the same message since last night, but just been cancelling it and it is working OK.
