Same here hypno, original plan was to be debt free by the 40th (not quite working to plan), but still intend to have a gd hol. Fancy Las Vegas.....

It's our holidays that keep us going as we don't go out all year very rarely have a takeaway and only buy what we actually need.So in that way it keeps us motivated to pay all else off the debts.
DH has just phoned me shaken up as a car just pulled out of a junction and he nearly hit it!!!..he had to slam his brakes on and turn onto the pavement to miss it.He thinks the driver was drunk.

its a great motivation Taxi, i'm a bit of a home bird, i did enjoy our honeymoon in Sorrento don't get me wrong but i hate the trek to the airport, sitting on a plane etc i'd rather go out for days or get a cottage somewhere in this country.
I've had a few friends who've gone to Cancun and they've loved it

We're thinking of forgoing our foreign holidays until our debt is gone so that should keep me motivated.Everyone seems to have enjoyed it that have been there like you say.
Will probably have a break down south sometime as DHs sisters all live down there and are always wanting us to go so will probably do that to break things up.I also hate getting to the airport and hanging around but it's always worth it in the end.

oh no taxi - last thing you need so close to hols....hugs for you as sure it will have shaken you up...enjoy the holdiay - you do so well debt busing that its worth it. Am going to have a week away with mum which will be lovely...not sure where yet but will have fun sorting it!!

Hope you had a good Christmas. I have had a right good few weeks. I use the quick deposit enevlopes from the Royal Bank of Scotland. You can pay them into the bank at the cashpoints.

As I have been ill today and not over the door I have £700 lieing in my wallet in the kitchen.

Is your OH okay Taxi? and did he call the Police? It sounds as though that other driver shouldn't be on the roads!

Hope Mr Taxi ok, u both take care, and have a damm gd holiday, I love Cancun, I was out there Sept 2001, (2 days into hol 9/11), but have the best memories in the world, I swam with dolphins, went on a jet ski (ok that was a disaster,,,,,,another story), snorkelling, submarine boat, and the missispi steam boat, and a hol romance with a prison officer from down south!).

As the saying goes what a difference a yr makes, Sept 2001 in Mexico, Sept 2002, had my dd. (Not the prison officers, that fizzled out due to my lovely job!!). xx

Morning all...DH is fine thanks.He was really shook up as it reminded him of the other accident and because of the stress of the other one.He didn't call the police as the driver sped off and along another road before DH recovered enough to think about getting the reg number.
ISOM..that'll be lovely having a week away with your mum.
BTM ...hope you feel better soon ...it always feels good the christmas/new year take and is very welcome before the jan lull and keeps the wolves from the door.

Mum2one....sounds like you had a ball out there..don't know anyone that hasn't enjoyed it.

Today DH has told me to take day off as I need to find a hairdresser,go to bank,do the shopping,fuel the car,have a bulb fitted to the car,wash the cab etc etc....so that is what's on the agenda for today.
Just updated my sig as my loan of £196.60 has come out.

Hi all...it's been cold today and haven't been warm at all!!!...found a hairdressers open today and managed to have my hair cut +coloured and whilst there had a eyebrow,chin and top lip wax...lol...so starting to look presentable.
Got all the jobs done except the shopping as by the time I got out of the hairdressers I had less than an hour before DH was going to work so he needed the car...
Have to keep an eye on Tess as while I was out she chewed a ball and there's a piece missing!!!...hope she hasn't swallowed it and if she has then I hope it comes out the other end!!!...otherwise will be an expensive do..
