Scottish Power Harassing Me For Unpaid Bill I Paid in August!
I have had an ongoing problem with scottish power since July when I ceased to be a customer, and paid my final bill on 7 August.
Unfortunately they can't find the payment, and despite months of sending them all the details (bank telephone code references as it was paid through telephone banking), copy of my bank statement etc. they are still harassing me through LCS Civil Enforcement.
I have paid the damn bill 4 months ago, and have given them everything I can possibly provide in order for them to trace the payment, yet they are still hounding me.
What the hell do I do now? They are driving me nuts! I wouldn't mind if I owed it, but it was paid, in full, 3 months ago.
Any advice would be great.
Thanks

Write to them, recorded delivery, stating that you deny owing SP the amount claimed or any other amount.
State that you have already provided evidence to SP that you have paid the amount originally requested and in the circumstances will not be paying any further money for the alleged debt.
Also inform that that as you deny any debt exists whatsoever in respect of services previously provided by SP, that you have no intention whatsoever of paying any additional sum.
Furthermore, in the circumstances, should they wish to pursue the alleged debt, they should commence a legal summons without further delay to prevent further inconvienience and costs accruing. Explain that you are fully prepared to provide the judge with copies of the documentaion already handed over to SP to prove you owe no further money.
Also request that all further contact should be made to you in writing only."Now to trolling as a concept. ....
