They are just trying to see if we have noticed the difference!
Kitchen done - apart from washing the floor - no point in doing that until everyone has stopped going in and out for the day.
OH has done a load of shredding......so in theory there should be a pile gone, but I can't say I notice a great deal of difference as yet - isn't it strange how paperwork somehow seems to travel into any empty space and refill it
or is that just in my house!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hiya! A moment ago, the box to type in was literally an inch or so wide, and now its gone back to how it was..... its going to be an odd day, isn't it
:money: very happy to be back tho.
Well done on the kitchen, hypno - but I know what you mean about shredding. I've been shredding on and off for days (my machine requests that you use it 2 minutes out of 20....) and I have a binbag *full* of shredded stuff, tightly packed now. But the bag it came from was an ordinary supermarket bag, and thats only just started to look a little bit less full. Very odd. It probably drifts in from another dimension, dontcha know

Yup, either that or it shoots off fast growing spores
My house is slowly getting somewhere.....yet to tackle the ironing though.....I may do some this evening (or I may not!)
I would quite like to leave it nice before I go on holiday - then OH can just keep on top of it while I am away.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Well I've not done my de-cluttering. I've sort ten boxes of books to go to the EACH shop thats just opened near to us. Have a pile of stuff for DH to take to the dump tomorrow and have bagged a lot of newspapers etc for recycling.:j:j
Rocky and Babs ( our chickens - DD didn;t call them Korma and Kiev in the end :rotfl::rotfl:) have both started laying eggs now .............. mmmmmmmmmmmm.. The are delicious.
Nothing much else to report. Have a long list of things to do but having worked a wedding last night I'm now really stiff as I was begind the bar for 5 hours without a break. Still think of the dosh !!!
Hope you have all had a good weekend0 -
On the contrary, surfbabe, it seems as though you have done some worthwhile decluttering - charity boxes, newspapers for recycling, and DH to the dump
Fresh eggs.....yum.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

bob, I think the children inherited the "non-iron" gene.....
Mine have that too...not even waving a fiver under their noses could make them iron.:rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

if you waved it under mine I'd do it for you Bob! I've often thought of setting up some sort of ironing business, I can't say I love it but don't mind it - now hoovering on the other hand...Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

It's ok Skinty , i like ironing but do find Mr.B's million and one work shirts boring to iron..he doesn't even have the decency to get the company to supply ones that drop creases after putting them in drier. They are thick cotton and murderous.
I am sure Hypno will let you iron though.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

**gets fiver ready for skint_spice**
My DD did hoover downstairs today, and DS has done some bits and pieces for me too.....OH generally irons his own work shirts, so all in all not too bad I suppose.
As for the rest of the housework/ironing mountain......well, sometimes we have to be able to compromise a bit......or a lot!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
