I am absolutely spent.......and to think that the marathon is another 7.5 miles on top of what I have done this morning.......6 weeks today

I've had a bath, and scoffed a hot cross bun, so hopefully will start to feel human again withing the next few hours

It is beautiful out there - sunshine, flowers, birds singing, and butterflies flitting in and out.......all helped to get me round.

Do you intend to carry on with the running after Marathon Day? Must be a habit now, you would probably get withdrawal symptoms if you stopped.

I hope to continue - maybe not with the stupidly long weekend runs, but certainly with the 4-10 mile ones. I don't think I will be setting any records in the marathon this year -just to get round will be a victory, so I would quite like to train "properly" for one and do it again in a year or two's time, when I have not had to start from scratch.

I have to admit, though, that with the exception of these really long tough runs, I have quite enjoyed it - a good chance to clear my head after the madness that is my working day!

I must get back into getting fit - need to work on my core muscles first I think lol.
