A mixed start to the day:
£10 mystery shop money received, so transferred to Egg......overpayments are few and far between at the moment.
£5 win on the scratchcards - should get up to payout next week so that will be another £10 coming my way soon.
BUT I went onto online banking.......In our current account, all the DDs have come out, so it should now stay "dormant" until payday - nothing in, nothing out. It has no money in as a balance, but that is fine, because no payments due.
So OH took out £10 yesterday  I didn't know until I did the banking this morning and found a £22 fee.  Rang the bank to ask nicely if they would reverse the charge, given that I have been trying really hard and not been charged since July now. The answer "tough"
I had holiday money in another account - so could easily have transferred £10 yesterday evening, if I had known, so it is not as though the money is not there at all.
I suppose I will have to start doing the banking at the END of every day, not just at the beginning now.

I'd be narked too Hypno...like you I sort out all the finances and OH leaves me to it, trusts me etc but really that also relieves him of the hassle but like you I prefer to be in control anyway BUT the very least he can do is tell you when he has taken money. My OH would try and use the defence of so I work this hard and I can't even take some money out? Which he knows is ridiculous but will try it anyway. NO, he can take money of course but at least have the courtesy when I am trying so hard to juggle money and keep us on track to let me know, its not exactly hard. Mad for you can you tell lol.0
