I am going to the gym for the first time today. Recommended by my doctor, it will cost me £1.80 a session. Get to go for 12, then have to be re refered if thats what I need, want, can do etc. I am not sure I will ever be able to run thought!. But my heart felt wishes go to all of you who are suffering for a good cause, and loosing weight etc etc too. ! (I might be jealous of the loosing weight as the tablets I am on have moved me up 2 stone over the last two years. So all my lovely size 8 clothes are useless to me, and I am now rumaging the charity shops for size 12's. Never been so heavy in my life. I know that that is still not heavy to some people but to me I feel very sluggish and the excess is all around my tummy and I hate it!. Sorry Hypno, didnt mean to rant!!.

Well I am back from the gym. Had a go on a few pieces of equipment and I feel exhausted,!! Did a bike, a treadmill, and a arm bike?, and back on the bike. Then they are going to do other exercises with me next week. The lady was very nice. Apparantly my blood pressure is up a bit (before I started?) and my weight, I could cry, I am as heavy now at 66kg as I was full term with the twins!! Aghhhh. No wonder my clothes dont fit me anymore!.
Got to go back to the council with the forms they have sent me, as I am confused as to how to answer them, as things have changed again.! When I went after the gym (as its opposite) there was an hour waiting at least, so I didnt bother waiting I wanted to come home for a shower.
Problem is I feel myself seizing up already!!!

Well done with the gym - it will soon get easier.

I will tell them - it means that I can threaten them with going on my own if they misbehave/give me attitude/don't do their homework on time/don't make me enough coffee etc.......:D

Can't you threaten to take OH and leave them on their own?:rotfl:

It's a good enough reason to defer your DFD, you do not want to suspend life totally until you get there. -you go girl! (is it After the marathon? What a lovely reward )

OH is not the best at skiing.........

It is two weeks before the marathon.....hardly the best race preparation, but hey, sometimes it just has to be done :p

  • What a lovely surprise for them and for you.
