hey Hypno, if your feet are still bad then check your shoes. Not necessarily that they are old but the shape

my mum does a lot of running and she can only run in New Balance I think it is because of the shape of them. she has tried other brands over the years, but they leave her in agony.

    just a thought

the reason I have a problem, chev is because I bought new trainers - my arches had collapsed in my old faithfuls, and were causing me pain in my hips, so I bought a new pair - my feet are not used to having that support in their arches so protested......partly my fault - my first three runs were 8 miles, 8 miles and 10 miles, when I probably should have broken the shoes in gently!

So now I am back to running 3 miles in them, just to get my feet used to their new "homes"!!!

Morning Hypno, becareful with those feet!.
Hope my quidco will eventually pay out, S.Wheels are dragging their heels, as they should have paid out my money by now, but everytime I log on it is shoved back to the next month. I was expecting £75 in November.!!
Council just told me they have over paid me,! Great. Just what I need when I have lost my job!. Have to claim all over again, for before and after now!.

nothing exciting occuring - except the number crunching shows we will survive another month :T

I might buy myself a latte at lunchtime to celebrate......another month has gone by without bank charges.....that is 6 consecutive months now, which is pretty amazing!

    All positive stuff.

Chin up mooloo - things are never as bad as they seem!

I had the same problem just before I ran the marathon. My trainers just about gave way 3 months before. Got new trainers which gave me problems with my feet. So for a few weeks had to do shorter runs.

Come marathon, ran in my old trainers just because I knew I could last the distance in them

My old trainers feel like two bricks though, so I think I am going to have to perservere with the new ones - my new strategy for the next few days, at least, is to do two shorter runs a day (one before work one in the evening) instead of a longish run, which will hopefully get my feet used to the new shoes without risking too much more damage!

At least my hips don't hurt now, so that is a real plus point -the new shoes are doing something right!
