Right, off to make another quick coffee and to get my running kit on, otherwise I am in danger of talking myself out of it!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

benben, believe me, I would rather stay indoors, but I can't go for a run tomorrow as I have to take DS to a training day somewhere, so I have to get my long run in today instead.......and it is only 15 weeks until the big day and I need to get far more milage in!
I so want to beat my time of 1993 - just so I can say I can run a marathon faster at 38 than I could when I was 22!!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hi Hypno - your light's out, so I bet you're out there doing your thing. Good luck! I woke up to freezing fog, which is just starting to lift, I hope you do a really good distance. And I've just noticed your location, lol.... I'll have to start playing with that myself...2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hi Hypno hope that run goes ok. I don't know how you have managed dealing with egg for so long. I had a bad experience with barclays where I paid a big cheque in just before christmas and the cashier chirped up saying I could draw a £1000 on it without being charged. Being sensible I decided that there were a few things I needed to do/ buy after christmas and therefore I would draw £500 and put it in a different account so I had access to it. I then get back home after christmas to find a three bank charges because I was over my overdraft! After trying to make the stupid person on the phone realise that I was not trying to spend on the cheque before it had cleared, but on my balance! Turns out that as it is a student account I should have only been able to draw £200 and therefore I should never have been allowed to draw £500 let alone £1000. Despite woman saying it had to be their fault I still had to ledge a formal complaint before they would consider refunding!
They refunded so that is ok but now I have had so much trouble with paypal because their returned payment left me owing paypal!GRRRR!
You are superwoman to do all you do!0 -
Well I have been for my run - bloomin blisters from my new trainers meant that I didn't go as far as I wanted, but I still did 7.75 miles and was going at a reasonable pace, so I don't suppose I can complain.......I would have liked to have done another lap but my feet were not up to it - I need to assess the damage and get some plasters pronto I think!
Grabbed a shower at the ski club so saved on hot water - very MSESuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Goish I feel such sloath now -I'm still in bed
However whilst loafing I did pick up a MS for next week so now have 2 to do
No MBing to do as everything is tied up until tomorrow (due to betting on a home leg last weekend and laying the away match -oops -caught it in time without damage fortunately )
Need to pop out for bananas and tortilas (banana bread and chicken fajitas later) before work (3-8 today) and have promised myself a bin bag of declutter a day for the next week so need to crack on. My plan is to dejunk the cellar so I can use it for bulk buy storage -eeeek.
Stay warm and safe in this horrid weather everyone !I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Morning Hypno
Hope your run went OK its all frozen over here too you will feel great afterwards! (said she encouragingly!).
Ive been gallovanting with the kids this morning, drum lesson for eldest then they both go to a Warhammer club till 3 so just got time for a few jobs, the ironing pile keeps growing no matter what I do! I just make sure school 7 work shirts are done everything else can wait (and does!)
Can I ask you a questio about Mystery shopping petrol allowances. Should you just claim the whole amount say £3 per job or should you work out your actual mileage say 10 mile @ 22p and just claim that?
Have fun whatever you are doing today
