computer buffs i need help

can you all help me out, I have 450 to get a lap top, i have never brought a computer b4 so realy dont no much about them struggling to use them.!
I use it mainly for surfing the net, but will also be srating a course at work that i shall be needing it for, I have seen one on Dell called the inspiron 1300 for 439 do you know if this is good value and could i get better!!
would be realy gratefull for any advice

I'm abig fan of ebuyer.
How does this compare to the Dell

Just checked the Dell model.
The ebuyer one is better.
They may have even more in the sub £450 region. The one I saw was the top advert on the laptop page.
Generally, AMD processors are cheaper than the Intel brand for the same processing power.
You can read reviews on ebuyer from other customers. Looks ok, 5 stars (out of 5) average after 43 reviews.

if you're only using it to surf the net and type up coursework then you won't need anything too special so the sub £450 ones should do you fine.0
