Which ps3 accessories?

Hi all. My sons are about to get a ps3 and relatives have been asking if there is anything else they need to go with it which they can get as a Christmas present. I am guessing that you need a second controller to play 2-player games, but is there anything else that's useful? They will be using it for Fifa 09. Little Big Planet and other games suitable for young teenagers. All advice much appreciated.

Second controller is good. There is a new gizmo out too that turns it into a Freeview PVR, similar to Sky+. But it's £50.

A blu-ray remote control is handy aswell, saves using the normal controllers for navigating through menus etc.

you can get the official one (which i have and is recommended) for about £18 or your can get cheaper ones for about a tenner but they require a small usb dongle to be attached to the ps3 to use them.

also if you do buy another controller make sure that it is a dual shock 3 model!

When I got mine a little while ago I got a 2nd controller but also got a 2 controller charging stand that plugs into one of the USB ports and when the system is on will charge up the controllers and keep them nice and tidy and out of the way...
