House of Fraser Delivery "Packet Post" Delivery

Options
Not sure if i've posted this in the correct place but anyway.

Guys,
i purchased a few things from House of Fraser & qualified for the Free Standard delivery (3-5 days).
A few days after ordering, i was told by email my items had been sent out via "Packet Post"(?) Not quite sure what Packet Post was, so just thought it would turn up in a few days with the Royal Mail postman.

Thought nothing more about it, until i heard a knock on my door earlier today......i took a little longer to answer the door, (as i'd just got out the shower). But when i answered the door i looked down to see my package but no Courier! He just left the package at my door & sped off in his van.

Now i'm sure i should have signed for this package. And what if i hadn't been in, anyone could've taken the package.

What i'd like to know, has anyone bought from HOF recently & actually signed for their package? Or do these Couriers just go around leaving packages on peoples' doorsteps?

    It's not on, is it?

One of the items was quite an expensive Xmas present for my Nephew which i hunted high & low for. I wouldn't have been too impressed if that went missing!

I ordered some stuff from Early Learning Centre. It came in three lots.

The first parcel came by a man in a car type courier and the second parcel came by Royal Mail, but I didn't have to sign for either.

The third one came by a man in a car, but he just gave it to some children playing outside my house and told them to "give it to your Mam". Luckily they're nice bairns and they came and gave it to me, but they could have easily taken it elsewhere and I'd have been none the wiser.
Here I go again on my own....

The courier may have heard that there was someone in so left the packet to get on with delivering for all of the other customers who were waiting.
