I've got one cluttering the mantel piece - complete waste of money and electricity. Can someone let me know if they actually sit and watch the pictures changing?

I always hear this being trotted out when the topic of picture frames crops up. But why have any pictures on your wall at all then? Digital photo frames may use electricity but how much more boring is it having a frame with one picture in it all the time?
