Be careful when negotiating with lenders!

Today I spoke to a lady at Egg about my application for an Egg Money card that was refused a month or so ago. I already have an Egg card, but wanted to use an Egg Money card too (for stoozing). After discussing my finances for about 25 minutes, she checked my credit file.
Everything checked out, no missed payments and a pretty good credit score, BUT she noticed how many cards I have and my potential borrowing if I maxed out all my cards (which is over £75,000)
I got accepted for the Egg Money card, but she had to cut down my total available borrowing from Egg to a lousy £2500!
I understand why they did this, but just a word of warning for anyone stoozing!

Result of the phone call: New Credit Card, Total borrowing available cut by £5000
