Getting Data into Excel

  • I completely understand where you're coming from! It sounds doable and just for that missing snippet of information, you can't yet do it.

I don't know about the website you're using but on Barclays online banking it tracks the pages I'm visiting. I can open a page in a new tab, but if I go back to the original page and try to click on another link it recognises that I have not followed a link from the last page I opened, and logs me out.

So I should think that I wouldn't be able to type in a link of the next page I wanted to visit (or follow a link in Excel), as the site would recognise that I hadn't followed a link from the last page I opened. It could be worth testing this by doing what I've described (open a page in a new tab, then follow a different link from the original page). If it kicks you out then you'll know you won't be able to go to pages without following the links on the actual page. But it *might* be possible to automate this (I really don't know though).
