You will be told to collect after a certain time,Usually after 1pmish to allow the item to be sent to the PO. Was this the case with you?0 -
dont confuse PO(post office) with DO (delivery office)
this is why im asking whats on the cards
I work for RM as well, the PO collect cards tells the customer to collect after a certain time in the day, usually 1pm, as i stated.
The DO card says leave 24 hours.
Where am i confusing things? I asked poster if he/she was given a time to collect from PO.0 -

DO cards dont state any time, this is dictated by the delivery officer
some DO's (eg rural) use po's as a collection point
this is not local collect0 -
unless they run a system where all posties are back to the office on completion(and if so they are very lucky & in the minority) then its not a workable system for a DO0

Referring to the Local Collect from PO, i made a mistake when referring to a PO collect card. What i meant to say was that if a customer asked for Local Collect, they will be told to collect after 1pm on the next day, to allow time for delivery to PO. Sorry for confusion.0

Custardy. How can a system that does work, not do so in your opinion. Its 24 hours because its a large DO and needs time to process all returned items. Would you be happy to be told leave 4 hours then turn up to find its not processed?
Your office may be different, fine, but this system works better at mine.0 -
