Norwich & Peterborough PHISHING PAGE?

I just went to log into my N&P account.
I then clicked on the login button and up popped the page which had the N&P logo. BUT...the option boxes then offered were 'Username' & 'Password'
Funny, I thought, didn't feel right.
Now, I've only ever logged in a couple of times, as I opened it to stick the maximum covered by the FSAC.
I'd have realised immediately any difference with my long standing accounts with other banks/bs'
Anyway, almost entered my details:eek: but didn't.
Closed the browser down, disconnected from the internet, deleted all the temp files and cookies then tried again.
This time the login looked more familiar. Customer number and certain letters from the password etc
Never come across a phising page before but I take it I just did?
Anyone else come across this?

I think you may have clicked on one of their other logins on the homepage?

I looked at those JayTee99 but the page I got wasn't any of those.
It was most like https://www.e-brokernet.com/login.asp?wl except without the script on the left and the N & P logo was towards the left of the page.Strange eh

Yes, it is odd, but i wouldn't worry too much if you were using a known good link to the site.
Most likely it's a site 'glitch' rather than phishing
Phishing sites do usually try to mirror image the target site to fool people. I'm looking at a live Paypal phishing site atm; visually it looks the same as Paypal's.
i hadn't heard of this building soc. before reading this thread..0 -

You're probably right, just a glitch. These days it pays to be cautious though.
N & P was the easiest account I've ever opened. No paperwork involved whatsoever. Identity verified electronically, login details arrived quickly and account up and running within a week.
I messed up on my first login attempt though and rang them before I was locked out.
My fault for not reading the login information they sent me.:o
I got straight through to them and they were very friendly and helpful. They didn't make me feel like the twit I must have appeared.;)0
