Ther's nothing to prevent you accepting the existing offer and the pursuing the other separately.
You say this was for the purchase of a truck. Are you sure this agreement was with HSBC, rather than a finance company. If so, then you mi-selling claim should be with the finance company0 -

No person who is employed, will ever buy or own a truck.
If you're employed as a driver somewhere, you will be provided with a vehicle.
If you come with your own truck, you will be a contractor, a freelancer.
As a contactor you have jobs but not full-time employment.
As a truck owner, the likelihood to become unemployed (with a P45) is zilch.
But for any self-employed person, the possibility that s/he can no longer carry on
with the business due to an accident (or death) are greatly increased.0 -
My husband has just discovered he has been paying ppi on a capital one credit card since 2002 card was taken out in 2001!!! We had no idea we were paying this until we had a document sent through outlining basic benefits of ppi cover!!! Our employment status said unknown surely had we entered into this this would be information they should have to see if policy was suitable!!! My husband has been self employed for 15 years so nothing has changed! I called capital one who told me to write a letter, when i asked why if we agreed to ppi they had unknown on employment status they said they were updating records! my husband had a heart attack last december surely if we had know we would have claimed as we did on our main critical illness policy. Could anyone help me put this information into a letter please or any other advice would be most welcome. Thank-u0
