kielder winter wonderland

We were going to try to go here this year as there are a few places left, but after all the goings on in the other lapland experince's I've been a bit put off. It has been going for a few years so I was wondering if anyone had experinced it and if it was worth the money here's the link

I know 3 people who went last year, 2 thought it was to expensive and a waste of money and the other thought it was excellent
  • Going to kielder this sunday for 1st time, friends who have been in the past few years say its well worth the money and go back year after year! Have had a look at website and seems to be plenty to do to fill in day. Have to admit that we've only paid £15 each, not £25, as we get discount thru the company we work for! Surprised theres any places left as usually sells out really early as its popular, mstve been affected by all the stuf on the telly about the dodgy new forest place! Can let u know next week what it was like

  • We are going to this in a couple of weeks. Any suggestions on places to stay. All the lodges are gone, so would like somewhere fairly close. We are coming up the A1 to get there.

Anyone else been before? Any recommendations?

Not been to Keilder Wonderland, but as its out in countryside, hotels and B&Bs are few and far between...
You could try Otterburn, nice country village not too far away...couple of hotels and guest houses, if you try a google search
