Not really because it was bonded etc.
The artex was a particularly deep pattern though so that can't have helped.Silence is more musical than any song0 -
Plasterers command anything from £15 per hour upwards + Materials.

£15 per hour isn't much when you think they have other expenses i.e. keeping a vehicle on the road for business purposes, liability insurance (hope you ask to see certificate before letting them work on your house). They also have to pay their own NI. Full time work is also not guaranteed every week and they don't get paid holidays or sickness.
