Does anyone know how long from when a bill is issued it takes the DD to come out of an account??

I ask this because my BT and O2 accounts usually take 14 days from the date the bill was posted online to be taking out of my account.

Is 14 days the norm or just whatever the company decides??

It's whatever the agreement is with the individual company.

Most will have flexibility to change dates to suit your bank account funding / salary payment date situation - but you need to talk directly to the billing company to arrange this.

As you're paying the specific value of the bill (?). They have to give you notice of the amount / date of the DD. Normally a minimum of 10 working days.

If you want 'regularity' .... (not the All Bran version ) move to monthly DDs ...... that way you know the value / date well in advance.

it will tell you on the bill....my 02 ones always says will be debited from your account on the...
