New quote for a boiler

Just got a quote for a new combi condensing boiler
Work includes removal of old combi gas boiler, eletcrical work and pipe work
I have three options for boiler
1. Isar HE30 wall mounted fan flued combi condensing boiler £1348 plus VAT
2. Worcester Greenstar 30HE Plus £1600+VAT
3. Worcester Greenstar 28 Junior combi plus VAT
I have no idea what to go for. Money is an issue but so is enviromental and fuel prices.
Property is a mid terraced 2 up 2 down, 7 rads
Thanks to my friends at Warmfront who couldnt careless about my daughters medical condition, we are without adequate hot water and despite getting a grant I cant wait another 4 months without adequate hot water, so I have to get a loan out. 2 fingers at them, sorry I am really angry at them and just got back from hospital 50 odd miles away because of my daugters ill health.
Anyhow any help would be apprepiated. Not sure which one to go for. Thanks

Are these three different options from three different contractors or three options from one?
Personally I would look at this boiler if you want high flow rate, but you need to ensure the water main is up to it.

It might save you some money if you can find a recommended one-man-band Corgi plumber that is not VAT registered, as you will then only be liable to VAT on the materials, not the labour. Remember that if he/she is VAT registered then the controls (timers, room thermostats and thermostatic radiator valves) are only liable to 5% VAT, which seems to tip a balance in favour of big businesses, but the boiler will still be subject to 17.5% as will all the other costs.0 -
Thanks for the reply. Its from the same suppliers quote.
We have thermostatic radiator valves on all rads apart from a large on in hallway, I think that was because of it releving pressue on combi boiler if I remember right. Brother in law put system in for us 13-14 years ago.0 -
following company has the greenstar 30 HE for £885.00 (Inc VAT)......they probably have the others you listed as well

Most good combis now have an auto by-pass but if not then to comply with energy efficiency best practice one should be fitted between flow and return pipe work before the first rad. The only rad that should be without a TRV is the one closest to the room thermostat (the room stat being another requirement under Part L building regulation).0 -
Oh the radiator in the hallway is closest to the tempertaure thing.
I asked my brother in law who is a plumber and he reckons the prices arent unreasonable. I am getting another quote from his mate who works on his own. I cant get brother in alw to do it due requiring a certifcate even though he works for a big company in my area, and tbh its a pain asking him and then getting him to do it.0 -
I don't know if Staywarm is the same as Warmfront, but we had our loft insulated for free, mother oap & gets a little bit of council benefit, the man that came out said that had we hadn't already got central heating they would have done that for free as well. It's something to do with the government, sorry to be so vague.0
