Can any body please advise on the best value car hire company operating from Dublin airport.

easyCar are cheap but will charge you extra for using a credit card and their customer service is not brilliant (60p per min phoneline).

Auto Europe are probably your best bet, they are based in Ireland and the rates are very competitive. They offer free cancellation as well. Argus are another Irish based company with good rates.

We went with europcar last year and they were excellent - the year before we went with budget (but we didnt find them that good). Look up dublin airport and it will give you a list of the companies that hire cars on there.

In Ireland I usually use Dan Dooley car hire as they are cheap, but good.

Also this year I am going to get an insurance policy that pays the excess if you have an accident. Insurance4carhire.com. Often cheaper than paying one weeks excess to the car rental company and gives peace of mind.

Last time I hired a car in Dublin - about 18 months ago - the cheapest rate I got was with Auto Europe, http://www.auto-europe.co.uk/ They are a broker, so the actual car hire company was EuropCar.

We always use these. excellant service, all in insurance, extra driver etc all via Avis. Not found anyone to beat them as yet.... let me know if you do..............

Try out 504335 for Hertz.co.uk in the CDP field for 10% discount.
Also try out ebayargus for Argusrentals.com for 10% discount.

Never the less use quidco.com for cashback when you book the car.

dan dooly are the best but not the cheapest, you can,t go wrong with butget who i now tend to use when i go home.
