Hi all
I have a presentation to do on the focus of my major project (dissertation) which is using music in classrooms. My presentation is on powerpoint. I would like to put a piece of music on it so that when I open it it starts playing, or I can click and it plays - just to prove a point during the presentation really.
How can I put a music clip on the power point? Also, I will be putting the presentation on a memory stick then taking it into uni - will this be ok?
Thanks

IF you go to insert, music and sounds, and sounds from file...this will add sounds to the presentation. You wont have a problem with taking your presentation in on a data stick, as long as the computer you plug it into has software for viewing powerpoint presentations.0

Be careful...
Yes insert the music file... but... if you are going to then transfer it to a usb stick - the music also has to be transferred.
I would transfer the music to where you want it on the stick first and then insert the link in your power point presentation so that the software knows where the music clip is located.
(i.e. If you link to your music file whilst it is still on your hard-disk then when you move the ppt file it will still refer to your hard drive copy of the music and won't be able to locate it on the other pc)0 -
If you want to take a powerpoint presentation with you that contains video, audio etc the best way is to package your presentation, then put it onto a usb stick. I have Office 2003 so I just click 'file' and 'package for cd' on my completed powerpoint presentation. The resultant folder has everything you need.
