How much to change date for an Advance Single train ticket?

Just read the National Express site and it says:

The origin, destination and Train Company or route shown on the ticket(s) must remain the same. The difference between the price paid and cost of the next suitable fare for your journey is payable, plus a £10 administration fee per person, per single ticket for each change to a journey.

for the info under a ticket I have (a £5 Advance Single). Just wanted to check here if anyone knows whether that's correct (min £10 to change) as it's gonna be cheaper to buy another ticket if so Thanks.

I tried to change my ticket last week. I wanted to catch the same coach but at the next stop. They wanted £12 to change my ticket even though a new ticket would only have been £10.

The fee for exchanging tickets is £10 regardless of the ticket's original cost. Therefore yes, buy a new one. (But do see if someone else could make use of the original one before you throw it away...)

Or, You could try www.craigslist.com or maybe www.gumtree.com to sell the tickets, but don't try Ebay, as their rules don't allow it.
