I've just noticed that Issue 2 now has Gross p.a/AER interest rate of 5.15% until 30/03/07 which includes a fixed bonus of 0.90%. Up until last week the bonus was only payable until 30/06/07. With the rate extended (applicable to new and current issue 2 savers) this is now one of the best short to mid-term savings accounts on the market at the moment.

It certainly is.
Pity they dont up the max investment and I'd pull some more of my funds out of that bloody ING account.

Issue 1 account holders have simultaneously been hit with a 0.25% drop in rates.

The time has come to convert to Issue 2. I didn't want to, because Issue 2 is better for the introductory period only, but with a 15-month introductory period it's worth it.
