Bluetooth Keyboard in Windows

I've currently got an Apple Wireless (Bluetooth) Keyboard. It currently works in Windows fine.
I'm trying to follow this article:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/hcl/showproduct.php/product/2802
So that my keyboard can work prior to Windows loading up (to access the Bios). I don't want to apply the firmware update to my bluetooth dongle though, if there isn't a way of turning it from HID mode back to HCI in Windows.
Was just wondering if anyone knew about this type of thing, or has tried this before?
