mine arrived today. i'm pleased with the long green cardi. not too sure about the black and white tweed cardi, but just need to figure out what to wear with it.0

I took mine to shop to exchange today. She said it was coming up on the till at £25 - guess that means the lowest they have sold it for. I chose a brown cardi marked as £35 but that came up as £23.52 on the til (20% 2 day sale and VAT
)so she was going to put the extra £1.48 on a gift card for me but it was proving a problem so i just bought something instead. I love my new cardi, its a much nicer colour and better fit.

The same thing happened today to me. I went in and told them it was a present so I didn't know where and when it was bought. One of the women there knew about the internet glitch but the rest didn't seem to (apparently it was a glitch and was not intentional so it was really good of Evans to honour all the orders in my opinion). I bought the brown cardy and apparently that colour was only available on the internet so I picked a grey one instead and got £1.52 back on a gift card.
I'm feeling a tiny bit guilty about getting even more off so I'm not sure I can show my face in Evans for a while and I hope the moneysaving police don't come calling!0 -
My cardigans arrived today..........and I hate them. I am most definitely not a 'tassely' kind of person (but I didn't know that until now, lol).
However......a few unpicked tassles later and I now have a bald straight edged cardi....which I'm very happy with, especially considering how little it cost. Will do cardi number 2 and 3 later, lol.
I agree, the tassles were just not be either  so I too have removed them, looks alot better imo. Might hang onto a few tassles just in case a 'hole' appears, I have loads spare so if anyone wants any beige 'tassles' pm me.0 -
Got mine just now and I think I will detassel the sleeves too!
Sorted the problem with the collar and hid a few bulges by removing the top hook and replacing it below the bottom one - it was doing up too high for the amount of material in the collar on me.
A huge thank you to all who post the comps and deals that make life so much fun!0 -

Thanks for letting me know that the brown cardigan was online only. Won't bother trying to find a replacement for my damaged one. I think I'll take the tassles off the cuffs and see if my mum can repair it using that.
Don't feel guilty about getting money off. Do you have any idea how much mark up there is on these clothes??? They can afford for people to take advantage of glitches and lose a few quid. Besides the attitude from the staff I've seen when I take stuff back from online orders makes me think "s*& em!" Twice in the past few weeks I've had to take things back and the staff-in two different shops-have moaned about how they don't like doing it and today the woman said to me, why didn't I take it back to my local shop, as it's affecting their sales figures! I was meeting some friends for lunch, so I took it back to a different town. I couldn't believe the cheek of it! Might even complain to HO because it was out of order to say that to me. What they say to each other when I'm gone is another matter. Needless to say I didn't bother buying anything from there.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Well today was a returns dream!
I took the grey tasselled cardigan in and she scanned it at £30 (I had paid £15.50 inc delivery).
After a lot of trying on, I finally found a pair of boots I liked, reduced to £40. With the 20% discount and the VAT reduction, I ended up just having to pay £1.38 for my new boots!
So, my boots cost £16.80 instead of the £50 they originally were (before reductions and sales offers) :T :T :T
No questions asked, by the way. I just said it was an early Xmas pressie that I didn't likeLiving with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -

The black and white blouse i sent for fits well and there was a big reduction on it so I'm pleased, but I think I'll have to take the jumper back.0
