As long as it has been reserved, otherwise it is probably going to bounce back. I'm all confused this weekend anyway because on Saturday we had £90 credit in our account but on Sunday there was zero available - and that includes the £200 overdraft facility!!!

Asked in branch tody and they said it was all on hold for Maestro transactions that had been in a backlog!!! They couldn't even tell us what they were or WHY there was a backlog  I just pray that the Evans purchases are part of it because we genuinely have no idea what all the other payments are
I have a maestro card and got a call last night from my bankers saying they thought my card had been compromised as used in a atm in Queens, New York to draw out the eqvalavent of £293. They cancelled it when it they tried to use it again moments later. It must have been cloned as I had it to hand when they rang. They have cancelled my card and are refunding the money in ten days. The last transaction on the card was for Evans and I had not used in an atm for 2 weeks before. They said it is probably a legitimate internet site that has been compromised.I wonder if it is Evans, as you have same problems and amount taken. Everything seemed ok when I paid, even took me to the password card screen. They said the cloned cards cant be used here due to chip n pin, but can in the USA and Canada, as they don't use chip and pin sytem like ours. I wonder if the gliche is caused by a hacker. I may be wrong and don't want to cause panic, but just keep a check on your account in case.

I'm so sorry that this has happened to you but I'm really sorry that I've read this post as I'm a bit worried now!:o
  • Not meaning to freak anyone out here, but I have over £150 sitting in Temp processing in my bank account, no one can tell me what for yet until it clears, I ordered from the Evans site on Friday and have used my card in Tesco etc over the weekend but they are all showing as cleared payments so I have no idea what the temp processing is. I will keep an eye on it, I am sure it is no cause for alarm but maybe worth checking your bank accounts just in case as it would be an awful time for your cards to get cloned x
  • I received my despatch email late last night which was a nice surprise as I had convinced myself that they were going to cancel the order after reading this posts on this thread!

How do you check your temporary processing items?

Mine shows in the difference between my actual account balance and available balance.
  • My two orders from Friday have been despatched which include the cardigans, really pleased. Still waiting to hear about Saturdays order which
is for the evening tops with glitch.
I paid with Paypal and no extra has been taken out of that thank goodness, hope you people with extra money taken out manage to sort it.

Like you say it is a hassle waiting for a new card and in the mean time having to go into the bank with ID to draw out money. Luckily the bank were so on the ball, as the account could have been cleared out and although they said they will put the money back in my account, it will take 10 days, so I could have had no money left to draw out! I am usually so careful with sites and cashpoints I use, so wonder how it happened. Evans have dispatched my goods, which were ordered on Friday-their payment has gone through ok-but I still wonder if their site has been compromised, as a few of us using it have had unusual transactions after on our accounts, it seems. I did order more items with another card yesterday from Evans, but I have cancelled that card after speaking to the bank (although that ok, so far) just to be on the safe side.

I'm sorry to the people who have had problems with their card being cloned. This must be the worst time of year for it to happen too. I paid on my account card, although I've just checked my bank & CC transactions online, just in case.
My order is still showing as 'new' and I placed my order at 11:40am on Saturday. They probably couldn't cope with the huge amount of orders in such a short time.
